- The name “South” does not refer to the southern U.S., but to the family name of John T. South III, who acquired the university in the 1970s.
- South University’s main campus is in Savannah, Georgia, but it has campuses in several other southern states.
South University Nurse Practitioner Degrees
- BSN to MS in Nursing (BSN-MSN): This program prepares students for leadership in professional nursing practices and patient-centered healthcare delivery. The MSN program is designed for students who already have a BSN degree.
- RN to MS in Nursing (RN-MSN): This program gives RNs the additional expertise they need to specialize in their field of choice.
- MSN – Adult Health Nursing Practitioner: Graduates of this degree program will learn the skills needed to become licensed as adult health nurse practitioners who deliver primary health care to adult patients in a variety of settings.
